Ive seen a ton of negative reveiws on these ! But I took a chance and decided to try some ( 12 bags ) I've burnt 4 so far and I have to say they burn as good and cleaner than the Mcfeeters I've burnt all year . I'm burning in a cb1200 feed rate wide open on med . Just wondering who else has had a good experience with these ?

Jaymaine now try a few other brands and see what you think ...hell you may like them plenty of people do !thats the beauty of choice! My family is from Jay/LivermoreFalls nice place to party and Ive done that a few times at the Hilltop Club friendly place !

my problem with them was after just a few bags , the major clinkers in my burn pot and i'm talking large masses of very hard chisel off crap .

that said , from my experiences here . form your own opinions !!!!!!

What kind of "entertainment" was on tap the night(s) your were at the Hilltop?;);)

No clinkers as of yet . Don't get me wrong I'm not thinking I have Vermont or Mcfeeters replacement . But I think for me this maybe a good start / end of year pellet . They had stove chow at HD a few weeks back but didn't have my truck that day . All gone when I went back . I've been buring for 4 yrs and have only burnt Okanogan for the first 3 yrs and / Vermonts this year so I was REAlY surprised how good these heat/burn based on what I read . I guess it's true you'll never know till you try . Funny thing is I own 3 cb1200 the one in my home ( Maines Choice/Mcfeeters ) burns super nice and clean but one in my apartment in the city burns awful always clinkers always black ( I feed that one vermonts )
Just goes to show you same stove same pellet different results !

J is my name and I'm from Maine different part

Limerick. Great little town with some fantastic fishing ! But always a drive for pellets ! We are pellet poor in limerick ! But most can be found in Portland . Living in this state with some much wood and finding a decent pellet is so hard . Looking at the snow falling on the lake now and having a few cold ones in front of the stove ( life ain't so bad !!)

Yes sir .

damn small world . next time i'm standing in line at the store , i'll be wondering if one of them is you or member "sinnian" . i'll be the one with the 2 twelve packs of Rolling Rock in my cart ;)

It's is a small world . Sinnian's place is just around the corner and in that store it maybe the only 2 12 packs in town .
Dollabill it REAlY is a great place to raise a family . Close to everything but still has that small town feel

Never tried the hardwoods but the Maines Choice blend did very well for me a couple years ago
Haven't run across those yet . But as of this very minute it's a toasty 75 in my living room ( stove is 2 rooms away ) and it's 24 outside and the wind is blowing . Very pleased so far !

The two Moose on mine 100% hardwood
Does that bag say 100% hardwood? If so they may have changed....that bagel was previously a blend and i liked them a lot....I used to see them at Lowest but not in a while.....they recently introduced a 100% hardwood marketed in a Geneva bag....green and orange...but maybe everything is hardwood now

I bought a ton at the beginning of the season at Wally World and burned them through October and into November. Just back to them now - tree to pellet plant and they burn clean for me. No clinkers. By themselves, moderate ash and decent heat. At the moment, since it's decided to be winter again, I've been blending them 50/50 with Vermonts - I have about the same number of bags of each left. Super combination for me. Plenty hot for these single digit nights and 20s days we've been having - clean burning. No complaints, especially at 190 for the ton. Good shoulder/mixer for me.

Ive had mixed luck with them. Sometimes they leave a beard in my burn pot. Sometimes they don't. Sometimes they burn very hot other times I feel like I could lick the glass and not burn it. I have about 20 bags buried I got frustrated with them. They are the cheapest thing here though.

Moey
What other local brands have you had luck with ?
