In the past few days our Harman Accentra has been pushing unburned pellets out of the tray. Our feed rate is at 2 and there is a large amount of burning pellets in the tray, over filling. Plus, there are a lot of sparks and the flame is big and very active. I have never seen it like this before.
 
I would check your venting first in case of any build up.Give it a good cleaning and see if it helps.A plugged vent will cause this.It could also be the E.S.P. probe.Make sure it's clean of ash.
 
Sounds like an airflow problem to me, too. Clean, clean, clean.
 
I had the same thing once. Cleaning is the cause. I had a good carbon build up in the pot , causing the pellets to funnel through a smaller gap and flow over.
keep the Pot clean. Some Pellets create more carbon than others, so that's another cause.
