I vote for Michigan wood pellets.

Anyone who knows how big the ash pan on a Fahrenheit furnace is knows that the pics attached to this post ain't from burning anything quality. This was two weeks worth, somewhere between 12 and 14 bags. Even I couldn't believe how much ash was in that pan when I pulled it.

I looked today and I have 4 bags of that chit left. They'll be gone by the end of next week. Good riddance and lesson learned.

Hey, how did you get that snow in your stove?

Infernos (x2). (Nicknamed Inferior Infernals.)

Rookie move: bought 2 tons in the fall for my first year with the stove. (Luckily when I went to pick up the last 25 bags they let me have Green Supremes instead.)

Bought 3 tons of Barefoots for next year (I'm learnin'! ;-)

So far for me has to be Cheat River a lot of ash and not as much heat as the others I have used.

Hey Smokey...How do the LG granules burn for you compared to the Cubex;?

Please realize I can say nothing about the current runs of either pellet.

Comparing fall 2009 LG to summer 2010 Cubex finds for Cubex over LG on both heat and ash levels.

Of all of the pellets I have cared to try the Cubex (that I still have 2 tons of) bested both the fall 2009 Barefoot and fall 2009 Okies in both categories as well and all four burned well for me. My stove really can't be tuned worth a hoot.

The worst was 2008 MWP (blend at that time it was 80/20), next in line was Freedom fuel, Penington's Nature's Heat, and then Fireside Ultra all going from worst to best the current batch of MWP that I have is also from the spring of 2010 and is heads and shoulders above the 2008 version and any of the preceeding 2008 pellets. I also burned 3 tons of early 2009 MWP that also rated better than than the 2008 pellets but less than the December 2009 batch of MWPs.

As you can see I can't speak to any of the current pellets and won't. I also am set for the next season at least (maybe two, got some more stuff to do this off season) so I'm not one to ask.

Infernos. They stink before burning and they are dirty after they burn. Let me put it this way - the local Lowes had a dozen pallets of them left, and I had no pellets left and I still didn't buy any I hate them so much. Waited three days and drove 30 miles to a local shop to buy them Saturday morning.

I Like the north americans..
