South side is seasoning well, North side snow drifted over most of it.
Forgot I had some splitting to do, about 1/2 cord of birch rounds.
Some is 14/15 most is for 15/16

Your pics never disappoint boggy!! That first shot is plain amazing! Thanks for sharing.

New rule just sent down from the front office. You Bogy are not aloud to post any more pictures UNLESS you have at least one picture of your landscape included with the rest.

What a view from the wood! That first pic is a jaw-dropper. Nice stacks too.

Well for some reason someone just DELETED my post that I was trying to load a few pics to. What the heck? Was asking Dave how the temps were today, but I guess that is out of line?

Anyhow couple pics from the last few days. Just got back from Beaver Creek, Yukon, had to rescue a trailer that had some hub and brake issues. Was -18* while working on it at 2AM Tuesday... fun, fun, fun! The white smoke off the trailer is the exhaust cloud!

That stack is half way up the mountains; That's impressive! What are those splits, like five hundred feet across? ==c

Thanks
Spring in Alaska. Getting 13+ hours of daylight, we get back outdoors this time of the year. :)

Don't know how the mts & wood stack turned out so well.
Lighting was just right I guess. good subject matter helps.
I take lots & hope for 1 or 2 to turn out.

Around 0 last night, got to 22° today.
Storm coming , to be near 40° by Friday

Alaska is beautiful......but dang is it cold too

I suppose it's all about perspective. Usually stays fairly warm in this area. Coldest I've seen was just barely touching -30*, but usually lows are more around -20*. Actually gets colder in Northern Maine (where I grew up) than here.

Drive half a day north and -60* isn't out of the question.

Wow very very nice, I have a relative that lives in anchorage but I have never been there.. My local stihl dealer goes up there for the race.. Do you do any hunting or fishing there??

Thanks for sharing the pics ! Only managed to get to Alaska once . Wish it would have been more . Absolutely beautiful place .
As to walking around stacks..... I just spent the last two days walking around one of mine . I'll try to send pics ,but right now I'm off to my weekly Liars Anonymous meeting ;)

Well Dave, after going to the warm air and playing golf, it appears you are back to reality once again! Storm coming here too but the weather is fantastic right now. It is 52 degrees! Supposed to be this way 2 more days before reality comes back. We're enjoying this too.

I'm glad I don't live at your spot Dave - I wouldn't get anything done........I'd be leaning on those stacks just looking at that view every day! Awsome! Cheers!

I was out back yesterday getting a sheet of plywood and I see tracks cutting across the yard. Look at it and it's a set of moose prints. Follow it to one of my wood stacks. Well the darn thing tried to jump over the stack and pulled half of it down. <>

No mtns near my stacks, they all all out back and it's just woods. Can see them from my front yard though.

No idea on the name of that hill, was around Glennallen I believe.

I had put pictures of my wood splitter table I built but I can't find that anymore either. Don't know if my computer/phone are doing weird crap or someone is pulling them off the board?

Reality is OK but warm & sunny everyday can spoil a guy .

Had a few days in the 90s & it was tough on my Alaska acclimated system.
Had to soak my shirt & dump water on my head a few times to stay cool enough to golf.

From 12° this morning to 36° now, to be 40 tomorrow & chance of rain/snow mix. My "Reality "
