Thanks for the real life examples Steve! I agree completely about being able to sleep at night.. I'm pretty sure that it would require me to tear the pre fab out completely to be certain of the clearances so I may as well save up my money and hopefully I can put in a nice new chimney with either a wood stove, or a new zc fireplace sometime in the future. I will just put my money in my savings account and hopefully I will have enough for a nice fireplace in the fall (not likley at .4% interest.)
