12/13 wood gone - 15/16 taking it's place

Pics of your set up never get old - looks good

Having that multi-bay set-up continues to make me want to build one.

Except your on the piedmount and I'm up in the ranges - limited flat land and a few degrees warmer here .

Ideally it would be enough to hold 3bays 2 cords each elevated -to keep termites out and my shoulder season stacks in the woods

With the wind you get there, wood might even dry in the house.

Dave, does this mean you are out of seasoned '12-13 wood? I'd imagine you are still burning?

I just finished replacing my 12/13 wood with 16/17 wood. On to 17/18 .....

Small fire every other night is all I've needed to keep my house at around 70* Been in the 40s the last few days!

I have wood ready for next winter and everything else is still in logs. Have around 15 cords in logs ready to get cut when I get around to it. None for me though, already all sold even before the wood hit the ground

I ended up with 4 pallets of "good stuff" left over. I'm up over 10 cords since may last year install. 25 gallons of oil since sept 29. I'm picking thru the pallets and grabbing the couple full pallets of hemlock slabs that are in there. Wood's all good from here on out. Ash, Maple, and in '14-15 5 cord of 3 year old red oak.

I've been stacking up 10 foot logs. Probably got 4 cords to work thru. Pretty soon my processing area's gonna turn to mush. I'll have to take a few weeks off. I do like the look of that shed you have. Not enough to stack and restack though.

I figured we'd burn about 2 1/2 cord this winter so that is what I put in the barn. Got the last of that in the wood rack that is on the porch now. Might have to go to the stacks for some more if it doesn't warm up soon.

Split some wood yesterday and the wood that is on the ground is frozen pretty solid. Took some heavy hitting with the sledge to break it loose. Only a very few traces of snow left now. Rain/snow predicted for tomorrow.
