so my brother in law called me and said he had a customer that had him remove a lot of trees after the storm and that most of it had gone to family but that they were all full up and didn't need anymore wood...and would i be interested? of course the answer was yes :)

so we stopped by over lunch today to survey what was left and i thought i did pretty well...only 6 miles from my place and some of it is already split. not sure what it all is..but it's hardwood so i don't care :)

teh bigger rounds in the second pic are at about 30" across...and already cut to 20" in length!

Nice pickins.

it looks like mostly oak and ash to me....there is some black walnut in there too...most of that was picked off originally when family scooped up stuff for firewood. either way...i was happy.

Your lucky day ;)

So we finally moved the lunchtime find today. Took 6 hours and 4 total trips. Here it is all piled up...it's mostly white oak ash and cherry. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg
