Wonder if that's the same one I saw? I was at Jachovich earlier today getting some hose.

Nice pic.

Cool, kinda funny knowing you take your camera with you to check the mail...but up there you just never know what is around!

I scared one off this morning in my undies. Not sure if it was the yelling or me in my undies but it ran off. Darn thing was chomping down on my $100/tree maples I planted last summer!

to much information!:p

The bird I'm trying to find out what they are.
Males have a slightly orange breast.

After the last snow, I was plowing, one flew into the shop.
Then a bunch landed where I'd plowed down to the grass along the driveway.
Not seen them around all winter.
Wonder if they accidentilyy showed up in AK early.
Wife ran to the store, got some bird seed & have been feeding them since.
Seem to be getting more & more every day.
Very skidish, can't get very close
Was closer to the moose that i can get to the birds.

Found them
Boreal chickadee & Black capped chickadee

Was thinking; "this fall, the hind quarters hanging in the shop, would look real nice"
Kinda like 8 cord of stacked birch :)

Yum

The chickadees here will land on you while you are filling the bird feeder. Very friendly. I feed sunflower seed. Mixed seed gets tossed on the ground.

Nice pic - hopefully this late without momma she'll make it.

Until fall ;)

Would you believe this was in my backyard?

We live in a wooded area and are visited frequently by wild critters. Our dogs help keep them a bit away from our house. I don't know how anything survives when there always seems to be something around that wants to eat the other ones.
