Buck 91 fire box size?

I have the Buck 94 so the same stove without the CAT. It is huge.

How do you like that 94 Buckeye ? I had heard some bad reports on that stove but I have to think some have luck with them or they wouldn't be selling them. Are you a 24/7 burner and what kind of burn are you getting out of that insert.

I am a 24/7 burner. I have never had a cat so if you are comparing to a cat you might not like it. I fill every 12 hours and keep above 400 degrees and good heat coming out of the blower. The firebox is a hog though. It holds 8-10 good sized splits. I was considering the 91 when I bought this glad I did not a CAT is not for me. Overall I really like it.

Thanks Buckeye.....I have a deposit on a new 91 and I was back and forth a little. I know the 94 is basically the same stove but with secondary tubes. This will be my first run at a cat stove, heck my first run at a new stove and a newer design stove. I think I will like the 91. Pick it up next weekend.

Yeah, that's about what I come up with. I just averaged the different front and back widths and then measured the height. You do have a little more height on the sides of the box where the cat shield ends. I'm guessing that the 94 holds a little more; The tubes might take up less room? I'll try to look at one at the shop when I get over that way. But like Buckeye, I can fit quite a bit of fuel in the 91 as well so I'm thinking the two stoves are pretty close in volume.
