He's got a 16 psi radiator cap on it. Works great except when boiling water is spewing in garage - then you wear thermal raincoats. That looks scary. I wonder if the heat output is worth the jury rigging.I hope he put a pressure valve on it somewhere!!

Beyond the explosive qualities of the unit, I'm missing something. If the idea is to boil water to charge the rad to produce heat, why not just use the barrel to produce heat and toss all the plumbing?

Reminds me of a device I owned when living overseas. It produced something much tastier than heat and smoke. It had a condenser, rather than a radiator, though.

Not as a heater, but for our annual 4th of July party. Put that out in the field, get 'er cranked up, Ill bet it would be just as much fun as a hot water heater that is welded shut... (not that i'd know or anything....)
