I have a 22 ton huskee. I picked up a 4 way wedge from speeco the other day and I couldn't be happier. I started with some small white oak and it sped things up. But being curious and not heeding the instructions, I decided to test it on something bigger. rolled a 22inch round of red oak over and hoisted it up and to my surprise, chewed right through it. The wedge cost me 66 bucks and would pay more now that I have used it

Sweet don't run it into knotty stuff and it'll be great.

adjustable 4-way ?

Pictures?

It is just the 4 way that slips over the factory wedge. The only problem is the safety lanyard. It wraps around the cylinder. when I get the last load of logs split I plan on putting the wedges in a drill press and making a more solid way to secure the slip on. wil get pics as soon as I can.

Just don't want that thing coming off. as soon as it quits raining I plan on putting it to use even more. Just had a friend drop off 38 16ft logs( most around 22 to 23 inches across) last week and I look forward to it. He said that pulp wood prices were down and he would bring 2 more loads middle of may. Its usually red and white oak. This time there were 5 hickory and what looked to be 2 locust mixed in.

Mine is just held on by gravity. Seems to work fine, though they say to pull it off when towing the splitter on the road. I guess no one wants a 20lb block of steel in their grille?

It jutst seemed to make a lot of noise the other day. Maybe im just overly safety. I usually put mine on the trailer to tow it.

Funny hardly buy anything correctly finished/complete ,for what now seems to be forever>>

could just be me:rolleyes:

Sounds like a time saver when splitting some easy oak. Where did you get this? Got a link to a site?

Wonder how it will do in large rounds of tougher wood - busting through clean red oak is an easy job. Cheers!

i ordered it through tractor supply. they will tell you it is a special order but it is a sku item so you save on shipping. i put pretty decent piece on the splittr an it didnt seem to be a problem

Thought id post a pic of the 4 way in action. Also, My buddy dropped of another load today. Hope to work it up on Saturday. Usually get between 5 and 6 cord out of his loads. this one weighed 33000 lbs

66 land rover series II. 88 inch wheel base with a 4 cyl diesel. My father owned it and drove all over. South America, nova scotia, Alaska. I have a new set of tires but it is tied up in court with my brother and greedy sister. That's why its not in garage any more cause she would find it and try to take it. I will take the top off and load it full of wood.when im scrounging. Ittl go anywhere

ya these things suck ,it destroyed so many families ,mine to but me & my brother are good & FOR THAT I AM GRATFULLY didn't really mean to yell.

Be reasonable & Cheers

Yeah mine is pretty messed up. The other day in court the judge said " jerry springer and maury just called and want to sign a book deal." I made a settlement offer and was leaving 125k on the table for her and she turned it dow. Greed. Any who, that wedge really ups production. Think im gonna buy a husqvarna 576xp. The shop i go through for all my lawn maint equip called and said hed knock 225 off the price. I ran one at a demo day and that thing is a beast.

Called this am and he said 708 with 24 inch bar. Now to to convince the accountant ( wife) that i need it.

Can this 4way wedge be used in vertical operation or will it fall off?

I the instructions say not to but i think it would work. After i modify it will deff not fall off
