I have NEVER owned a chainsaw before, so I am seriously stoked to have this sweet "Dexterized" Stihl 036 as my first!!

I have already spent 2 hours in my basement practicing the "full throttle, full choke, half choke" business! And installing the chain and bar. Tomorrow I will fire up the beast and "cut some cookies" and buck some logs to get m feet wet!

* I wonder if my neighbors would mind if I did it now! :p

I've said it before and I will say it again and again... if you EVER need another saw, and c'mon you can never have TOO many!.... Dexter is your guy! VERY honest straight shooting man of integrity !!!

From what I read this is a sweet firewood saw.
I don't think the neighbors would mind. They probably wouldn't know it was you anyhow unless you told them about the new saw =)[/quote]

Great looking saw.
20" bar ?

Gas & bar oil tanks filled up & you'll be making chips fly.
Have fun, be safe !

Gonna tackle some hedge this weekend?

Wonderful looking piece of equipment. Is it true what they say about the size of a man's feet, and the size of his bar?;lol

We want to see some dirty and nasty pics!>>

Its got an es bar and bump spikes......Perfect! Not sure if the orange is popping enough though.

Wait till you crack the throttle and lay them teeth into some wood. You think you are exited now.....==c

Edit: Be aware, this is a fairly powerful unit. Approach your cuts as though you think the saw is going to try and jump off the log and get you. As you get some trigger time you will become familiar with it, but in the beginning consider every cut the next most dangerous. Move deliberately.

That's good advice for anyone.

Dexterized?

Dexterized:past participle, past tense of Dextered (Verb)

Verb
  1. Bring back to a perfect running state.
  2. Return (someone or something) to better than new running condition.
3. To clean and tune a saw so Bad@ss that your friends are ashamed to show up with the toys they use!

Just saying that a "muff-mod" MAY already be in place.... and MAYBE fire-flame decals have been ordered .... maybe ;)

Just having a little fun. 036 should be pretty well open muff compared to the 361. I had an 036 and a 361 and there just about as nice as you can get for firewood saw. Keep it simple and keep it sharp!

A "MAGNUM" sticker add 25% more HP. Or so I've been told.

Yep that's a fact! :p And you always see the magnum stickers on the big end of the stick ;)
