I bet Harbor Freight has something that would fit, and it would be CHEAP. Not this ridiculously expensive, overcomplicated, CARB compliant gas can nozzle nonsense. Leave it to the government to make a 10 cent product now cost $15.
 
well just tried the wine cork....doesnt work....and if u wittle away at the cork to get it to fit...its pretty flaky and sends cork shavings down into the gas can.....

Use some wood and whittle to fit.
 
i had already did this before u posted this...its a nice mod but still doesnt fix the problem of not having a cap on the end of the spout so debris cant get in
