We did have some frost last night and more predicted for tonight. Well, the good part is that the temperature is cold enough that the skeeters are into hiding.

Hello

I am working in the garage staining and now polyurethaning some shelves. It is too cool and damp for these shelves to ever dry so a nice warm fire is paramount ! ! !

Fired off the PE about 1 hour ago, still have 3/4 of a ring of firewood in the house. Wasted 1/4 of a super cedar to get it going... the kindling is outside and sopping wet.

This IS not what I expected... to quote Mr. Spock

We had 12 inches of snow to start May. Then, two weeks later hit 99 degrees. Then last night I fired up the stove. Crazy May!

Hard to believe, 01:22est on May 25 and I just lit a fire.

I'm working the night shift from 19:00-07:00, from home. Pretty cozy in the office. Computers generate enough heat to keep warm. Stepped out into the main house and got quite a shock. Temp is hovering around 60F. Only 34F outside. Wife would have freaked if she woke up to that while I headed for bed and a down comforter!

Weather is supposed to turn seasonal again in a day or so.

We would fire up the stove, but we got a guy coming to work on the Chimney side of the house, and he'll be putting up drip edge on the roof, and finish the siding....so I gotta hold off....that "Click" I just heard, was the thermostat calling for heat<>

Just finished a week van camping in OR. I was glad we had a propane heater built in.

Started up the Fireview this morning. Mid 40s wind and rain in the lower Hudson valley. I only had about one load of wood under cover on the front porch. I had to bring in some rain soaked wood to dry by the stove. I walked the dog in my Carhart with gloves on last night! It was in the 80s mid week. Must be springtime.

39 And a cold windy rain here. We have yet to have a warm summer type day yet, let alone a spring day up here in the upper valley of NH. Summer is going to seem real short this year. If it ever comes....

Fired off the PE again. The 13 will be fired tonight, too, I am sure.
