Thought mine was ash too

gasass just posted a thread "Ash?", thought that's what I had too but the consensus was hickory. Posting my pics too, if it's hickory, I'll be pumped. I think the seed pods give it away, they look the same as his. Tree came down on my parent's property, been sitting there for a few years, most of it's been off the ground. Seems to split easily with my fiskars, although this is the first thing I've split with it other than poplar.

Awesome score then! I'll post pics when it's css, hoping for a cord or two. Shouldn't have to burn it for 13-14, so it should be ready for 14-15 (and of course I'm going to use some of it to grill with :D
