There is a tree service south of me that sells 8 cords for $ 600 bucks of mixed hardwoods. Thats almost worth buying and letting it sit.

I'd definitely first want to know what wood it is. Too many times people say hardwood and folks say, "Great!" However, one can also sell cottonwood or basswood or willow for that. That is because those are all hardwoods, technically. To us they are soft woods but they actually are indeed hardwoods.

Wish I could find that here, 8 cord of 8' logs which I would say is %80 Maple, %15 birch and the other %5 random, costs me $960! My other option is oil though!

Even that is not a bad price Morgan. Around here if you have to buy wood it is 250.00 a cord. Most of the time it is not what we would call a true cord.
