Here are some pics of the test burn during the UL127 testing by Guardian.
LIGHT06 test fire. You'll notice from the beging how there is hardly any smoke out the flue.
It was just EPA Phase 2 qualified finally!

That's a clean, contemporary look. Is this unit mostly for showing a good fire or does it have someway to efficiently convect the heat into the room?

Looks like the widescreen of the stove world! ==c
Where is it re-burning the smoke?

Looks like there is a natural or forced air (ducted) convection option for the fireplace. At 15kw nominal, it should be a decent heater.

Yes, the unit has 4 knockouts for distribution of heat to other areas.

Keep in mind this unit is listed as a fireplace, not a stove although it works similarly.
Air in from below, the cats on top are not fully closed in, some bypases and goes though two more sets of steel baffles
before exiting.
The catalytic baffles are venturi shaped and only use 1/4 of each cat baffle, so it is flippable 3 more times (each corner ) to extend the life as it deteriorates.

What does a set of catalyst baffles cost for one of these?

Each cat is about $115 so not bad at all. This of course all depends on the euro and cost of shipping.
I usually order extra parts with each unit.

Have you got the gm/hr of particulate emissions on it?

Pretty clever cat design, I wonder if they could incorporate this into wood stoves?

How bout burn times with this fireplace, is it more in line with a stove or more traditional fireplace?

Burning 11 to 13 pounds per hour with the primary air setting closed, this lloks like maybe 5 hour burns unless there is an awful lot of wood in the firebox. How big is the firebox?

Looks like that ceramic catalyst is directly exposed to flame? Surely it won't withstand continued flame impingement?

Pretty impressive fire view. Are the side walls angled back, or is that an optical illusion? How long and how deep is the box?

actually the cats hold up very well, they have been using this system in Europe for many years. They are not typical cats like the honeycomb, which are thin walled and must pass the combuster. These units use use them as a baffle more so than a cat in a stove.
dims are in the pdf
