burningissues.org is the one in question, not .com. There's loads of info out there with their address, they're part of a registered non profit in California.

Enough! What exactly would you do with detailed personal information? This has been a pretty fun series of posting here and there and I've learned a lot by reading the great rebuttals. If nothing else it's an excellent example of what NOT to do if you are running a quality forum. Let's not get personal, that's one of the problems over there, everything is filtered through the bias of the forum owner.

I see that several members from here have posted thoughtful, informed, relevant posts there that are still listed. In fact, LOL, if you take a look at the forum almost all the latest posts are from pro-woodburners. You are crowding out the others and only Bodhi seems to be actively responding.

Network Solutions is one of the groups that is responsible for issuing domain names (ie hearth.com or burningissues.org). Normally an administrative and a technical contact must be listed from the person or group that owns the domain name, but if you do not want your name, address and email to be available for anyone to look up on a whois search, you can pay Network Solutions for a private registration, where they list themselves as the contact and screen the registrant. That will be a dead end (unless you are law enforcement).
