Neighbors and wood smoke concern

My cat stove has a funky burn smell when the cat is really cooking. Smells like burning g but not really wood smoke?

There is a road near where I live that during the winter months it's like driving thru a fog bank when you pass. Outdoor boiler set about 50 yards off the road in a field. I've always been amazed there hasn't been an accident there. Maine passed legislation about how close you can position an outdoor boiler to neighboring dwellings a few years ago. It certainly reduced how many new units went in.

I agree. I don't think I made that clear in my post, but even when there is a smell, it is not the pleasant smell of woodsmoke.

I'll agree. When the cat is really cooking, all I smell is hot metal, not wood smoke. I did have some issues last year, with flooding the valley behind me in smoke on reload, with poorly seasoned wood. It would clear after the wood dried and things got going again, but could be a real nuisance for the new resident, if I don't get my wood act together before they get their house built back there!
