Where Can I Find a Banking Plate For An Old Glacier Bay Stove

I have an older model Glacier Bay wood / coal stove. We burn wood during the fall but then come winter we switch to coal so we need the banking plate.

The plate we have has been cracked for years but was usable, now it is too far gone. I have searched everywhere and can not for the life of me find one. The plate is 17" x 6.5" and about an inch thick.

The only ones I can find online are 3-4" tall and then finding a 17" one is tough. We could live with one that was in the 4-5" range but 3" tall isn't going to work.

Oh and BTW our plate is square with no 'legs' sticking out of it.

Any help would be appreciated, heating season is coming fast.

I had thought of that but wasn't sure if regular steel could handle the heat

Nope, that's not it .. I can get a picture of what's left of it when the wife gets home (in the trunk of the car)

As far as using firebrick I don't know. The plate fits into a slot inside the door (can get a pic of that too) and the slot is only 1" thick.

Let me gets some pics when she gets home, might be better for identifying it and letting you folks see what I am dealing with, thanks for the replies so far.
