Today, we finally finished moving the wood for this year closer to the house. I took a quick video, which includes this year's wood in the shed and around it totaling just over 4 cords I figure. I then move to the rear of the yard where there is 3 cords CSS and a pile of close to 3 cords waiting to be stacked, maybe tomorrow. I also included a view of the fire pit and behind that is a 50'+ cliff, some storm damage leaner and a spider I almost walked into.

Wow! Sure is a beautiful setting in the woods. Nice stacks!

Nice property there WS. Looks like you did a pastel of work there too. Do you plan on putting any eave troughing on the shed. I just keep thinking when you are trying to get wood out and it is thawing, that cold stuff running down the back of your neck is not fun.

Well Dennis, I thought about it, but coming out of a warm house in the winter, I really don't mind the water/ice down the neck thing:) Seriously though, I hadn't even thought about it. I am planning on reinforcing the sides a bit with some more framework this spring ( lessen the pressure on the sides, as they are bowing a bit) so I may add something to the eave.

Something tells me we will. Maybe its just controllable hope, or maybe the cooler summer with a ton of rain. Just think, if it were below 30○F, how much snow it would be. Like 2-3ft a week

A lot of Nice wood and location. The woodsheds are ready to do their job. I hope we get the cold weather and snow to kill the wood pests. What part of Eastern PA are you located at?

I just saw the weather report for this coming week, we might drop down to the 30's on Thursday night, the first shot of fall across our bow if it happens.

The coffee taste great this morning.

Woke up to thunder this morning and the weather man said we just got 3"+ of rain in an hour. It will cool down here too thurs, but only to 50°F

What's up with all the spiders all over the place this year ?

It must be the rain. We have those humpback ones all over. Nothing worse than walking or riding the trails and getting a web to the face with dead bugs and a spider caught all up in my beard. Drives me nuts!

We've had a low of 47F already, but the house didn't drop enough to light up the jotul. :(

Nice stacks, and gorgeous property you have there, WS.

Thanks. We love the firepit area, early evening, a couple beers, chipmunks, deer, groundhogs, and the occasional bear, but we have a lot to do with the main rear wooded area. Blowdowns, leaners, widowmakers, and downed branches are hard to keep up with. When it cools down I plan on clearing some spots.

Nice......love the property

Mainly in the windows and in between bushes. Mostly they are beneficial. Eating flies. Try not to kill them. They'll be dead by November anyway.

I haven't had hardly any but I had centipedes galore, thousands of them, found out they love spiders so that answered that question. I bought some Cypo WP and got rid of 99%f them and now there's tons of spiders, guess it h be one or the other.

Nice pile of wood you got there WS, cooler weather is coming so it will be a good time to finish off the rest of your pile. I have some to split and stack but hate the humidity so its been sitting all summer.
