Help Identifying Weed Plant

This thing grows like crazy. It has a deep root system that spreads. Unless I dig out all the roots, it keeps coming back no matter how many times I pull them out. In a week after pulling, they emerge again. The roots system seem to spread and develop horizontally, and then it puts out these shoots that come out and act like a vine, sticking to whatever they can find.

I have already pulled out lots of deep, thick, reddish roots that run a few feet in any direction.

I can't catch all of them so they keep coming back. I am hoping if I can identify it, I can learn how to control it.

I wish it was the cash crop type of weed, then all the effort would be worth the price.

But there is no truce with this one. It was planted next to a fence by the previous home owner. The roots have traveled about ten feet underground, under patio pavers, and are coming up next to the house, sticking to the siding if not cut down.

that is one side only. I want to go with harsher chemicals but I have some rose bushes near by that I don't want to risk killing. Maybe I will follow the roots down and inject them slowly.
