Same here! I'm LOVING the humidity-free weather....cool breezes and beautiful skies here.
I'm anxious for fall and winter!!
Looks like I better get my butt in gear and figure out when we should go north for a foliage trip!! It's gonna be here really fast now.

We just obliterated the old warmest nights record for Seattle in August. No frost warnings for a while here.
Only made it into the low 40's here last night, but still had my window open. Nice to have the air clean, crisp, and cool. No notable humidity. But the forecast has 80's back next week.

I love the fall, Just not all that crazy for what comes after it! I pray for a long long fall and a really really short winter. 
I will gladly forward the snow/ice/sleet/slush to anyone that wants it!

The way it is. Never had a calendar that could tell me if I was warm or cold. When the wife hears frost, damp, or cool on the weather report, it is always time to get the fire going.

39F this morning. I love it, nice change from 90 a week ago.
Only problem is I still haven't finished rebuilding the stove, and I have to patch one steam radiator.
Funny story there, I took the rad out to the garage and thought I had closed the valve fully.... Then this morning I get a call at work from my wife
"Honey, uhh, why is the front hall a sauna?"

Had the first good frost last night. Less of a chance of one tonight, but should still be in the 30's. After tonight the next 10 days look safe, so covering up the garden should have been worth it. Still a lot of tomatoes that need a bit more time.

Need to frost out some very infectious Mosquitos. Two horses dead from recent exposure. Several pools testing positive. Frost not such a bad thing sometimes. Maine weather has advantages.

For the horses it was EEE but there is also West Nile showing up in the nasty blood suckers (you have to watch out for them females). .
Back into long pants, socks and cover the arms if going outside dusk to dawn when the mosquitoes are most apt to be biting. A friend of my has found 5 dead crows on his lawn this past week. The crows that I had in my yard every morning this summer are no longer around. The mother turkey only has half the number of poults she had two weeks ago. While I hate to see frost ending the growing season, that is about the only thing that will bring and end to the mosquito infections.
It'll be in the 20's over here next week...now that's COLD! I'm one of those who hate the arctic cold fronts that blast down from Alaska. Plus the air here is dry so everything is full of static! Aughhh! On top of that, the air gets thick with smoke...with the orchardists burning massive debris...
