Stopped into my local Tractor Supply today to check things out in hopes of finding some MWP blend but all I saw was endless pallets of Tractor Supply branded pellets. Never seen these before, are they making their own now or have these simply just been re-bagged? Anyone got the skinny?

there was just a thread on that... let me see if I can dig it up

I'll post this here too, A little birdy told me the TSC bags that have the vendor number (516958) on them and the bar code (8 52453 00306 6) are MaineWoods pellets.

Next time we visit TSC we should all get the UPC bar codes so we can find which mills are bagging for them. Good info or Just fun to investigate. ;)

I'd be happy to do that but all the pellets I'm getting at TSC are in MWP bags.....hehehe

I grabbed a ton at the end of season last year and they were fine for shoulder work. Think I paid $219 as I got in late in the game and the box stores were sold out for the year. Must have 35+ bags left to kick off the 2013-14 season.

MWP is as bad as GS....might as well burn Pennington's or Inferno's

I completely disagree. Although not a stellar pellet by any means the MWP blend is a consistent good performer for me and many others here. I burned NEWP (same as GS) for years and there was a slow and steady decline in quality as the company grew to it's current three plant operation. I had just OK results with GS and I wont buy them again until something changes.

I also disagree.

way cleaner, way hotter.

our local TSC used to carry "hardwood heat" which was a store brand from what i was told, they did quite well, recently though they have carried lignetics and the guy at the store said they were not getting the hardwood heat in their warehouse. with ligs in stock i didnt mind at all

My local TSC says their store branded are coming out of Tenn. I'll get a UPC code one of these days. I'm curious.

TSC in South Hampton NJ's TSC brand, the UPC info taken from the bag; is that they are made by Appalachian Wood pellets in WV
