i don't think stihl makes a bar and chain that big

Holy chit! I wonder how many splits in one round from that thing? !!!

Wish I lived closer.Would be fun tackling that with the SP125C.

Kinda sad to see the monster on the ground but... just the same that is a lot of fire wood!!

Some more pictures of the beast - it is rumored to have been the biggest oak in MD when it fell. It was a beautiful tree. It is a ll cut up now except the trunk which is going to be milled into boards. The farm has been in my friends family for 380+ years.

When ones that big come down in a storm,I'd much rather see them milled into lumber if the quality is there than gone up in smoke.

Holy OAK TREE'S thats a MONSTER OAK._g what king was is capt jack

That's definitely a big 'un.....and I'd LOVE to plunge the saw into that baby....
Would be a job, but my ported 051 with the 4' bar would get it done.....I'd have to go at it from both sides, though! I'm betting that tree has some heartwood damage, I cant tell from the pics but the taproot is probably long gone in that big boy, and I'm betting it's hollowed out in the middle. If not, it'd probably make some good boards somewhere in that trunk.

Just think, if trees could talk, oh the stories this ol' girl would have. Sad to see it go, that's for sure......
