Need advice on pellets

Ok guys I have two tons of green supreme which burn fine in my stove. Thinking of a better pellet for the 3rd ton. Here's the list near me:

Or fords $299/ton
Vermonts $275/ton
Just heard there are barefoots somewhere in ri
Hamer hot ones $289
Logik e. $289
Truman's $289.


Any thoughts? Thanks.

I agree ! If we could get those at that price I'd be all over them ! They tend to be about 325-350 around here plus delivery

Without question it would be Vermont's
 
I am new at this, but I thought those higher priced pellets were not all that they were cracked up to be, or is it that when you have multi fuel stove you do not need the expensive pellets?

Pretty much what you said, as far as the multi fuelers go. But the higher priced pellets he mentioned will usually burn with more heat and less ash.

There are, however, places that sell good quality pellets are a lower price......Lowes will sometimes have Somersets and Greene Teams, which I have found to be very good in my stove....and at a lower price too.

Good reviews on those but it depends on the price.
 
New to this-
the Vermonts are good? Most everybody has told me to burn hardwood. At the same price as Barefoots what should I choose? I think the more I read, the more confused I get!! haha

They are considered one of the top shelf pellets on this forum , personally I have never burned them , soft woods tend to burn hot & clean . I would love to try some ,but they aren't readily available down here .
