So I think I am set for this winter as far as wood goes, but I have 3 cords of rounds that need to be split, they are big maple rounds(about 2 cord) and 1/2 cord elm and 4 big rounds of willow. I have been splitting by hand but would like to get this all done in an afternoon so I don't have to worry about it.

Does anyone in the area with a splitter want to lend a hand? Vertical is best and some rounds are 2x3x3. Compensation can come in the form of $$, a handshake, Homebrew Beer, Homebrew Moonshine, some of the wood, or any combination of above that you like.

Of course for helping me out a great meal is always included. Thanks is advance if anyone is free to lend a hand.

I am just of M59 and Duck Lake Road in White Lake

I just received permission to harvest from the Apple tree next door, add to the mix of compensation

Hard Cider
Apple Pie
Apple Butter
Apple Sauce

I hope someone is able to help you out with this. I'm a little far away, but I know your area pretty well. My grandparents live on Lower Pettibone lake in Highland twp.

Wait... We have a willow hoarder? I guess it takes all kinds of nuts to keep Planters in business.

Hell no Im not hording willow, Dont call me names like that!!! I wouldnt think of that as a fair offer of compensation for the favor, oak yes. My arborist dropped it off before I knew what it was, It is here, Im not asking him to take it away so Im burning it as fast as I can, A lot was burned over the summer in fire pits or I gave it away

Ok, ok, I was only kidding you.

Too far for a casual trip Augie.
I have a daughter and son-in-law not too far from you, but they don't burn.
I was just over at their place up here (summer/vaca home) mowing the lawn, and a couple of the apple trees in the yard lost branches.
I'll be getting that stuff ASAP.

Ya, he is around 80 miles or so from us. A long way to haul a splitter.

No one????

If no members want in, throw up an ad on Craigslist. Skip the beer and all that, work them like mules, give em some wood, and make em leave.

I'm too far as well. Maybe rent a splitter and just get any old buddy who likes beer to help?

I was going to rent or put an ad in CL, figured Id offer to the community first
