I'm hoping to get my shed filled up over the next couple weeks. The only wood I have dry for this year (and next) is oak. All red, white, and black that I c/s/s in Nov 2010. I hate filling the shed, but it feels good when its done.

Ahh yes, the acorn on the thumb...I have had that happen in traffic myself...terrible thing to happen...

Yeah, with all the acorns I keep in the car, it's a real wonder I don't get more nasty looks.
Ok, here is the down side to stocking the wood shed. It leaves an empty space in the stacks that always leaves me depressed until I get it filled back up. This empty spot in my stacks will have to be filled soon. It is too much of an empty feeling. Just isn't right. I know, I know, I am am terminally afflicted with the wood hoarders disease.

Know the feeling all too well. In fall I fill up the wood rack in the garage and I hate the empty hole it leaves. Has to be filled before all is
right again. At least I do most of my cutting/scrounging in the winter anyway...so I can fill gaps as they happen.
