Not sure if this is the right place to post, but I'll do so anyway. Looking for input on this area - potential job in the area I'm interested in and wondering what the area is like. I'm coming from NEOhio.

Thanks for any input!

Pros: Great for outdoorsmen. Beautiful area, lots of public hunting/fishing/hiking nearby. I even went wild caving (Bear cave?) out that way. Nice small/medium sized towns. Good colleges nearby if you have older kids. I tried hard to find a gig there.

Cons: May need to buy a "Yinzer" to English dictionary. Steeler training camp in Latrobe may be a deal breaker for an Ohioian, possibly? Actually, you might be able to get a job on the o-line the way things are going this year.

Good luck, Tim!

Beautiful scenery, but they have the wrong team. The state is divided between Squeelers fans & Eagles fans.
Don't go to Philly to a game with anything other than a Philly shirt on. Wearing other teams jerseys have acquired many a folks a severe Philly style beat down.
So much they had a courthouse in the last stadium. Not sure about the new one.

The entire state is very outdoors oriented, and many things to do and see.
Your also not that far from Ohio, so you can still visit friends, relatives etc.
You could do a lot worse.

Hogs is correct - (they pummeled SANTA with snowballs! )
But south street is pretty cool.
Pat's wit onions and provy.

Thanks for the input. To be honest, I'm Switzerland when it comes to most all sports. I don't watch any and am generally completely neutral except for the .... Buckeyes!!! I can't stand them. I moved to Ohio 13 years ago not knowing what a Buckeye was and now chant "go Michigan" just to irritate the OSU people I work with - I just got tired of hearing about nothing but OSU football. Yes, I'm that weird.

I like the outdoors aspect of the area and am hoping, if I have to move, I can at least move to a place where I can get a larger piece of property.

Make sure your purchase of property includes mineral and gas rights. They will be fracking for gas for years to come. Might as well cash in given the chance.
