Feeling the Heat

Decided to install an OAK on my P43. The manual says 2 3/8 pipe. Hmmmmm. Cant find it anywhere. I actually measure the fitting. Requires 2 3/4". Still cant find. Ask my dealer. He says they use 3" flex and "make it fit with tape." Really. ?? Harman no longer supplies pipe to fit it, They DO however sell an adaptor to use 3". $60.00.......Really?????. So I go to my local muffler shop and he makes me an adaptor for $6.50. And he made a profit. Why companies feel the need to **** their customers, I'll never know!!! End of rant. Thanks for listening.

I just went through the same thing, I used silicone and aluminum tape, not perfect, but it works :/

20130915_202215.jpg I used the duravent oak thimble. A 2.5id (slips into stove fitting) to 2" id exhaust fitting and an exhaust clamp worked nice.
