Hello All,
Im looking for some help with my new Enviro Maxx pellet stove. This is my first time with a pellet stove so I don t really know where to start with trouble shooting.

The stove was purchased brand new as a floor model from a store that was going out of busniess. For the unit, hearth, piping, etc we paid roughly 2300. My fiances uncle is a liscensed contractor who installed the stove for us. The stove looks great, the piping appears to be accurate according to the manufacturers instruction.

Last night, with two bags of pellets in the hopper we attempted to start the unit. We placed "a small handful of pellets" in the burn pot, and pressed ON. The stove made noice, the feeder seemed to be working as within 10 minutes pellets were overflowing the burn pot. We emptied it, but it NEVER caught.
As stated, I am a newbie to this and dont know where to start with trouble shooting.

Thanks in advance!

Make sure the burn pot is in correctly, there are two tabs in the back of the pot that need to be inserted into the holder below. If the pot is not correct it will not allow the ignitor to light the pellets. If this doesnt work empty the hopper of pellets and remove the burn pot and turn the stove on to see if the ignitor is cherry red. If so the pot is not in right

Sounds like the igniter isn't working. Empty the fuel out of the hopper and restart the unit. See if the igniter glows red? Is the store still open?

Edit pd is pdq!

Welp, you were right PelletDude, rookie mistake. The burn pot we had in backwards. womp womp. Well it is lighting now! Thank you so much for your help, and I am sure ill be back with more rookie questions. Any tips or advice you guys can give us?

Get the stove on a surge suppressor to help protect the electronics. Good luck

Keep it clean, and it will keep you warm. Clean your vent pipe after every ton of fuel. Put your stove make in your sig.

Welcome to the forum, Good group here that will always lend a hand. Stick around, We have lots of fun and We love chatting about pellets too! ;)

I have had my enviro maxx for 5 years now. Ran into a problem on start up this season. It starts up and feeds, the flame catches, and it burns about 10 min then shuts down. The thing is clean as a whistle. Any idea what is going on here?

proof of fire may be bad. what did you do to clean it?

Once it shuts down its going to flash one of the heat range indicator lights. Post which level indicator is flashing.................................

Vacuumed it out and brushed out all pipes. There are no pellets in the feeder. While the flame is still burning the auger stops feeding. 3rd level up blinking indicator light is flashing. Thank you in advance to those who replied so quickly. I would love to be able to solve this without shelling out a few hundred bucks just to have the guy come out and look at the thing.

3rd light flashing is normally the exhaust temp(POF) switch. Sometimes ash will build up in the exhaust blower housing and its enough to insulate the switch. If that area is clean you probably have a bad POF switch like stoveguy13 stated.

Keep us posted.

I tried recleaning the exhaust temp switch. Still nothing. Upon further inspection I noticed the High Temp Sensor/ Manual Reset button looks shot. There is no recoil on the button itself. Could this possibly be it?

Unplug the stove first and Try connecting the 2 wires together(make a jumper wire with 2 spade terminals) on the high limit switch as a test. If the stove fires? All you need is the high limit switch. If it still doesn't fire? You will need both switches.
