We had recently expanded the dining room and in the new corner we'll be installing a recently purchased Harman P68. When I had purchased the pellet stove I had also purchased a corner hearthpad. As part of our renovation in the dining room, I had installed new laminate flooring that the corner hearthpad would be sitting on top of. My flooring installation is incomplete though as I still need to put floor trim around the dining/kitchen area.

My question is this, do I install floor trip first prior to laying in my corner hearthpad, or in order to be butted up against the wall it would be best to lay down my hearthpad square against the wall and afterwards when installing trim just have it end on both sides of the hearthpad?

Thanks in advance!

I would actually complete the house project fully first, then do hearth pad-that is what we did. That way if you move you can take it with you, and not worry about trying to clean up a bad idea :)
