Harman p61a

I have had a harman p61a stove for about 3 seasons, i have burned an average of 6 tons a year ( I use it exclusively to heat my home) I have used Barefoot pellets, NEWP, and i have used Green Supreme pellets which burn the same as NEWP to me (being they are made by NEWP). I clean my stove regularly and i do a real thorough cleaning about every ton. I love this stove and i paid good money for it, it works great. My question is, I want to stay ahead of any type of breakdowns and maybe replace some parts in advance of them having a problem (dont want to breakdown in the middle of winter and have to wait for parts) Which part or parts would you say should be replaced first as part of preventative maintenance to avoid breakdowns? what parts do you guys think will go first? and my last question how many tons of pellets on average does the harman p61a handle before having problems considering my usage and cleaning? Please i dont want to be rude but if you dont have a harman or experience with a harman especially a p61a i ask you refrain from commenting, as we all know stoves vary greatly from brand to brand and what might be a problem for one may not be for a Harman. meh...if you are in the vicinity of any illustrious Harman dealers, most of them carry common replacement parts......and I own a Harman as well.....and sell them......and keep parts. The thing is, they just dont break enough to justify keeping extra parts.

I have replaced many ignitors but, as long as you maintain the stove during the season you should not have to carry extra parts. What I hear a lot of is, Well I clean the glass and empty the ash pan." That will get you into trouble. After every ton clean the stove( follow the owners manual ) and brush out pipe. AND it never hurts to ASK on this forum. There is a lot of free advise here, use it. Try and avoid using your dealer or repair person. What ever you do don't start cleaning your stove every three or four days, you will start hating the stove. Let that sucker BURN !!!
