Nice work you have done there. Nice to have the support of the good people at Woodstock Soapstone too.

A basement can't really be a bedroom either, so don't worry about it.

Wow that looks awesome.. Great work!

That was a lot of work and you did well. Only one little thing that I noticed. You might want to get that pipe straight up or you'll always be wondering why you have to look at a stovepipe that goes up at a slight slant. Shoot, you've probably fixed that by now though.

I have to agree about the bedroom. I doubt if anyone could classify that as a bedroom. It would seem to be no difference between that and a sofa that folds out into a bed for overnight guests.

Play it safe and have a smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector in the area. Nice job on rebuilding the stove. It looks great ! That Fireview is a very handsome piece of equipment.....

That looks great, the stove looks new looking at the pics, what a difference from when you pulled it off the truck this summer.
The only thing I can see is if you have any draft problems you could try 45,s in place of the 90's.
Show some burn pics as time permits.

Nice catch Backwoods :). I didn't notice the out of plumb pipe until after the picture. I do have it straight now.
