hello all im new here i just put a heatilator ps35 in the house i have been tinkering with it and i can get it to run right on high on medium it is ehhhhh ok and on low it is quite disipointing it has a good strong flame when it is getting the fuel. can i crank up the auger trim more than setting 7? on the control box. my pellets are mostly ide say 40% are between 1/2 and 3/4 inch and 59% are 1 to 1 1/4 inch very few are over 1 1/4 the longest one i have pulled out of the bag was 1 1/2 inch and i had to look real hard to find it.

you really shouldn't have to mess w/ the control box. iirc, that is used for high altitude adjustments.

Have you tried other pellets. I didn't have good luck with the Northeast that I tried.

higher on low is not going to be very efficient. and will make things very dirty.
you will also end up with a badly adjusted flame on higher settings.

i have 4 brands of pellets here to try out north east is first they burn hot in my stove but ill give the others a try as well. just seams like the stove is drawing so much that they are burning up fast. even with the feed gate all the way open and the dial turned to 7 on the control box it is just barley enough to keep the fire on high at the right height. and it is a pretty steady drop of pellets.

Run it on high and use the thermostat at the temp you want. DO NOT MESS WITH THE COMPUTER! Notice the caps or do you want me to make it red in color?

instead of thinking you don't have enough fuel, think he opposite--- perhaps you have too much air.
if you have a damper, try closing the intake air down a little bit at a time.

If your flame height is appropriate with the Heatilator on high and the thermostat calling for heat per the instruction booklet than I wouldn't mess with it. Pg. 10 Fire Characteristics
When I first ran my Heatilator, I was really concerned that the flame height was low but as I have reviewed the manual and used it for a few weeks, I'm pretty convinced that it is working exactly like it is supposed to and I don't get all excited because I don't think it is feeding fast enough or the flame is not tall enough or it's not burning efficiently. Give it some time and if it can't heat your home, then I would start to investigate. Sometimes I just have hot ambers in my burn pot on medium and then it starts to deliver pellets and boom, flames! I think the logic of the stove is a little better than we give it credit for.

I'm running mine on high with the feed gate half closed.It has plenty of flame and heat.Thats also were the stove doesn't rumble when its starting up.In the warmer months I run it on medium.I set the thermostat and let it do what it's supposed to do.I really don't have a use for low.
