Does a dirty ignitOr in these stoves affect the airflow/burn quality in any way? If so, how often does it require cleaning? Just wondering

Thats a good question and I am not sure but my GUESS is that it would not affect the burning just how long it takes to ignite the pellets but would like to hear other peoples opinions
well, depends on HOW dirty.......a lot of accumulation in the ignitOr area could block the holes in the burnpot, adversely affecting the burn, but if it were this bad, the stove probs wouldn't ignite either
Not too worried about auto ignition. Actually, couldn't care less about it. The torch is too much fun. I'm just concerned with say after 1-2 tons, is the ignitor gonna get crudded out enough to affect the burn and require attention. In other words, another cleaning step. I thoroughly enjoy cleaning my stove so adding another area to clean is no problem...but I doubt the ignitor will see any use that would justify maintaining it...unless of course it turns into an ash covered obstruction. I've never found too much crud under the burnpot of either of my stoves, so I'm gonna assume it would take many tons to cause a burn issue.
