Hi guys ;

I'm having a two or three, trees cut down there to close to the house ! Can any one give me an idea on price-sing to have them cut down ?

I am sure it depends on many factors, but I just had a bunch taken down from around my house. To fall the trees and chip the branches was about $100 per tree.

Hilly is right - many factors - and time is money so the question is always how big of a job it is. If they could walk in and fell trees where they stood, that's nothing. But, as in your case, if they're going to need to bring in a bucket truck or worse yet climb the tree to bring it down in sections, I would think you're looking at major work so MUCH more than $100 per tree.

where is your location? That may have a big impact on pricing. I know around me for major tree work you're talking at least $1,000

Yes ; that's about right on, that's what I was quoted $850 for one close to the house , needs a bucket . The rest $150 for two .

thanks for the input, just wanted to make sure I wasn't being ripped off !

Alfio...??
You are close to Boston yes? Sounds like (from 850 + 150= $1K) "a days worth of work". Sight un-seen...from the info you have provided in the past you got a "fair market price". Hard to say without seeing the job...but still sounds about right for the 'Boston Market'...

Last year we had 6 large (80ft avg.) pines removed---close to the house in a smallish front yard. Lots of equipment to 'airlift' them down in sections, haul away the logs and chip up the limbs. Took most of 2 days and cost $2400.00----add an extra $100 ea. to grind the stumps. Hope this helps.

as far as boston prices go,that is a hell of a deal.tree work is not cheap in mass.here in CT it depends where it is.

also depends on the tree and whether the leaves are on when i bid.polite customers get the best bids.bitchy whiney customers pay more.

be careful and i'd always get more than one bid.

:) tanks guys ;
I just got a quote from one guy that did sum work for me 10 years a go . Got a package deal with my neighbor across the street ,$900 for 6 trees one very close to my house .

sounds like a deal. remember,estimates are usually free.
