Yesterday I installed my first pellet stove 6041TP. I plan on turning it on for the first time today. Any things I should be aware of or do as I "fire" it up?
Yes, A mandatory requirement of any pellet stove first start up is to post a pic of same. Sorry, but it's code.

Oh and you might smell a little paint burning off on the first start, but it is standard. Open a window or two. Good luck!
 
Read the manual first. Never know what new startup tactic they may spring at you. Have a bucket of water and an extinguisher close by. Good luck

As mentioned above, the required pics to prove you really DO have the stove ;lol, and I'd suggest a good 2 hour burn on medium heat setting to burn off the oils & paint, also mentioned above. Be ready to open some windows.

BTW, what pellets are you burning?
