I just ran my break in fire!!!!! So pumped. A little bump on the road with the leveling feet on front...missing weld didn't hold on one side....she bent and so I just used a couple of tiles under the insert and looks fine. So far i'm impressed with how hot it burns at the cat. And looking forward to the long burns!!!

Pictures to follow!!

First season on my king. Can't believe these things. I added wood at 5 am, drove 2 hours away for an autocross race which lasted 7 to 8 hours, drove 2 hours home and the stove's cat thermometer was in the same spot as when I left. Just before bed I opened up the thermostat a bit more. Maybe I'll add more in the morning?

Congrats! Looks great. Just lit my BKPI for the first time this year a couple of hours ago. Love my stove, and the long burn times. Great stoves, and real wood mizers.

Was that a new BKP with a broken weld? I hope those things work awesome, b/c when I build the retirement place I was thinking of building in the BKK in construction. A broken weld on new BK stove would not be so good.

He is referring to a weld on the blower shroud, not the firebox. The front leveling bolts mount in such a way thats its hard to do much leveling without flexing the shroud. I think they are more for taking any wobble out of it more than lifting it, a tile is better.
