Just picked up this load from a friend of a friend. It was already cut into rounds and stacked she said for a couple of years. The rounds at the very bottom were punky...

I see silver maple and one round of oak
 
Red or silver maple.

Some kind of Maple. Looks like silver. No leaves to go by. Any trees in the vicinity where it was?
