I'd like to put new gaskets on the door/glass today and i'm wondering which type is best to use. Also, I've heard manufacturers are now using hi temp silicone to secure it.

I dunno about your door but on mine the grove is so deep that the gaskets sets into that i don't glue it at all.
Matter of fact I take mine out and turn it around about once a season. it gets a grove in it where it meets the lip on the stove when shut.
By turning it around it shuts really tight. Then when I turn it around again that grove is gone..works for me.
But I'm only on my 4th season with the stove..but the gasket still looks and feels fine.

I have used stove cement until recently I tried the Red Silicone. It's a much better sealant in my opinion. When it comes time to do it again, it comes off easily and the old silicone can be removed from the gasket channel pretty easily compared to stove cement.
I see in the manual it call for ld... i assume it's low density? I think what's in there from the factory is graphite infused. Is that important? I recall seeing both with/without at the hardware store.

I just did ours with Meeco's Stove and Gasket cement and it worked well. It's a little runny and works best with the door laid horizontally flat, but can be done vertically with a little care. Use some masking tape strips to temporarily hold the corners in place before closing the door. Then let it set a couple hours. I got my graphite gasket via Amazon. It's a Perkins and was nice quality. Be sure you have the right diameter and length.
