Hey everyone! Just wondering if anybody has had this happen. I just installed my 25 pdv about three weeks ago and am loving it so far. I have noticed that I can't keep it going if I lower my feed rate to less than 3. Is this normal and what could be causing it? Any input is appreciated.

Thanks
Nick

Paging Mr. Holton. Call in the lobby for Mike Holton.

Have you lowered the "low burn air" ? if you lower the feed the air rate must go down also.

No I have not touched the bottom buttons. The instruction said not to touch so I didn't. How do I go about this?

check the LFF setting (Low Fuel Feed) if its set too low (should not be right outta the box but) if its set too low it would starve the stove in ranges 1 and 2.

the default setting for this is 6,to check it, press the button and look in the blower speed for the setting, if its lower than 6 quickly raise the number by pressing the blower speed up button (note this has to happen within 5 seconds of hitting the LFF button, if not quick enough , just press the LFF again and resume.

if this isn't the issue i ask you to PM me a daytime phone number and i will have a technician contact you to work with you to solve the issue, shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

BTW the complete settings would be (from left to right) LFF 6 LBA 4 AOT 1, verify these settings are correct please as if they are not it will cause issues such as you are having

Ok I did the adjustment. I'll try it on a feed rate of 1 tomorrow. Right now I'm enjoying a nice toasty fire! Thanks for the help Mike and everyone else!

h.c strikes again. Thanks Mike.
