I've been lurking on this site ever since we moved into this new house in June. With a new baby due in 3 weeks and two young boys my wife and I knew we needed a smart solution to keep the home toasty all winter without the fear of paying for oil deliveries for months and years to come.

Yesterday we had our Enviro M55 installed and we are very pleased. After learning a ton of valuable information from this group I felt confident in the purchase. I painted the old brick surround and tiled a new hearth extension. I fished the line and had a Lux thermostat waiting on the big day and everything is working perfectly. Set it and and forget it.

I ordered 2.4 tons of Lacrete which will be delivered next weekend and this week I'm testing Green Supremes and whatever else I can source at the BB stores to gain some knowledge. This season we'll get a handle on how much it will take to heat the house. It's a small 1,500 sq. ft. ranch and the heat is distributing nicely so far.

I want to thank all of the people who contribute to this group by sharing your views and experience. And thanks in advance for the support I know we can count on if we run into any issues.

beautiful!!! we recently had the enviro m55 cast installed and a note about the green supremes, we ran our stove Friday and sat the heat was good, but soooo much ash and clinkers I could not believe it so my advice to you is to not invest in green supremes, thought the tip might be helpful.

Very nice. Nicest looking insert made, IMO. Sweet monster bay window as well.

Beautiful looking install! I like that stove! Yea, get a surge suppressor or a constant voltage supply.
http://www.amazon.com/APC-LE1200-Automatic-Voltage-Regulator/dp/B00009RA60/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1382898712&sr=8-1&keywords=apc line-r

My biggest problem where I live a very frequent momentary loses of power. This is an ideal situation to kill equipment since, when the power comes back on, it will come on at a high voltage before all the loads on the line bring it back down to normal. The regulator will step the voltage down until the input returns to normal. It has a $25,000 equipment protection plan. It also has 680 joules of spike protection. If you want more than that, then you can plug this voltage regulator into the surge strip that has more spike protection.
