Seeing as there is a glut of older lightly used wood stoves out there...has anyone used one as a heater for an outdoor patio? I see a lot of people using propane heaters for bbq's, etc., but why not use an older wood fired outdoor heater?
Any thoughts?

I'd imagine you may have a draft problem....

My friend and I sit in front of this with some cold beers when it's chilly at night....

very nice ram. i see a bracket for a grill also nice looking fireplace. have you tried the coal stove as a heater?

i would think you could get any old style pre epa stove and stick 4 feet of pipe on it so not to get a face full and once you got it good and hot it should work.

My friend has a wood stove on their patio. His patio has roll down plastic windows that they bring down in the winter. The wood stove actually keeps things comfortable until it gets below 40 degrees outside.
