Hi all,

I bought a house that had an Empress FPI in it and I'm attempting to install a clean out T on the darn thing for easier access in cleaning.

What I'm running into is that I can't get the flex pipe to attach to the flex adapter? Any suggestions?

Being that I'm a new homeowner n single mom, I'm attempting to do this myself to save some money.

Thanks in advance.

can you explain or take a picture of what is currently in place?

The connector that you have a picture of is for a direct connection to just flex liner pipe and the pipe would slide in between the inner ring and the outside after a generous amount of RTV silicone is applied in between then you will need some stainless steel self drilling screws to anchor the pipe. However the picture you have of flex pipe has connectors at both end and is designed for connecting direct to hard pipe. So like the post before what are you working with for parts?

Sorry for the late reply. I've attached pics for you to look see what I'm trying to work with.

Thanks all in advance for your help.

OK so let's start from the beginning. One pull a permit, Two follow the manufacturer directions for installation, including outside air if required. Then have it inspected and inform your insurance that you've installed a pellet stove. So the connector on top of the clean out tee will receive the liner and like I said a generous application of RTV silicone and three self drilling stainless steel screws to hold the liner in place, the liner goes between the inner and outer walls of the connector and seats all the way in.

Sorry it was so long ago I saw this post I thought it was a new installation. Disregard the part about pulling a permit.

I ran into the same problem, I ordered what I thought was the correct part, it wasn't.
I ordered it from dyanamitebuys.com, I talked to Sean (owner) and told him what I had and he determined what I needed. Give im a call
