The pellet fairy also dropped me in a bag of Trebio softies and I am indeed impressed:).

The Trebios ended up being the second hottest pellet that I have burned this season (325 degrees)., The Okie's Black Hills were the hottest;ex did get some clinkering when I increased the pellet feed to #4. The Trebios on my smello meter ranked very high also;lol
The Trebs were the cleanest burning pellet I have ever had the pleasure of burning. After burning the complete bag, the glass remained very clean and ash volume measured 6 oz. Check out the pic:)

Ok I've never been one of the "cool kids."
What the heck is this pellet fairy talk?

My wife is not happy with me putting a handful of pellets under our pillows!

And try telling a grown woman you believe in the pellet fairy, I feel like when I told my parents "I believe in Santa" when I knew the gig was up & had to protect my haul.

funny I thought Trebios were my worst,,great heat but huge clinkers
Really? when did you purchase the paellts? . My pellet fairy friend Jack K. has a harman and I have a Palazzetti and we really didn't have that as an issue;ex

trebio burns so good for me I mix em 40 - 60 with satisfaction... still burns clean and runs well on 1-1-1 (heat/feed/blower)

I found that it produced some stiff ashes and help me troubleshoot my gummy stove syndrome. Will try them again when i get another chance to do so;) .

I can't even get them this year, they export most of there pellets to Europe

burning Trebios now never had a clinker been thru about 8 ton i guess at 150 per ton who cares on a side note i threw a bag of Somersets in last night WOW i forgot how hot they were :)

i don't see a resemblance whatsoever! trebio's are dark colored and the mcfeeters are semi- dark.
UPC code search might link them and end the debate. But I heard from a few sources that Trebio, McFeeters and Boundry Bay are from the same parent company.

Dark fiber isn't always due to bark content but just how long its been weathered in the elements. When wood age's it turns different colors. Most mills store the fiber(saw dust-chips) out side in the open element. So we may see different colors as the pile gets used. I have seen both light and dark pellets from Energex Ca(green bags) and not much difference in burn quality.

I have 4 ton of trebio pellets. Purchased from Walmart for $4.48 per bag Canadian on sale down from $4.98. No clinkers so far and has been my main heat source so far, the oil furnace is set for 68 degrees and it came on last night first time. My pellet stove is made in Winnipeg Manitoba by APR industries, it's a baywin model 40000 BTU per hour. Trebios are made in Quebec at Portage Du Fort, they ship a lot to Europe a mixture of soft and hard wood. Right now it,s 0 degrees Fahrenheit outside, heating a 1959 model home 845 sq feet times 2 cause heat the basement also. 80 percent of the home the insulation has been upgraded to R15 in the walls and R 25 in attic. 50 percent of the basement has been insulated and covered with gyprock. The bedrooms are colder due to lack of circulation and 2 inch insulation in the walls, will upgrade that this winter. We love our pellet stove. Been burning wood for the last 40 years so my body thanks me every day for the pellet stove.

I purchased 2 tons of Trebios from Pellets direct in uxbridge ma. He sold them to me as horse pellets because he said they sat outside for a while. I LOVE THEM. Hottest pellets Ive used. 150 bucks a ton I wish I bought more !!!!

I got a ton of Trebios two years back from PelletsDirect for $150/ton. Very ashy in my Lopi but very good heat too. I guess every stove is different. Still, at $150/ton I'd buy a trailer load....

Can't compare a pellet that you tried two years ago to pellets that are produced today. Trebio is a new company and has been refining the process. I tried them last year, low ash and lots of heat. Wish I could have got some, WP Direct stopped carrying them:(

I just started buying the Trebio pellets a little while ago. I bought a few bags while they were on sale and didn't realize what an excellent burn they would be. They are burning 20-30 deg. hotter that the Curran on level 1. We were led to believe the Currans were the best hard/soft mix supply in town according the coffee shop gossip!

David, could you please let me know which store you purchased the Trebios from? Our Huntsville store ships a random quantity and do not know if or when they will be getting any more in. The Orillia store had close to 2 tons in stock20131111_163239.jpg20130924_041841.jpg

Boomhour, Walmart North Bay, going to pick up another ton. I can carry 25 bags in my Grand Caravan, two trips. Minus 14 here right now, what the heck is that in normal temp 20 degrees F or so.
