Two weeks ago I found 5 nails. 4 of them in 4 cuts. Daughters boyfriend learned some new words, I used all the old ones and had to make some up on the spot.

Nails and other junk are frequently found in homeowner trees. Hopefully not with your saw chain.
I have even found a big screw eye, 3/8in shank, in an old Tulip Poplar tree. I keep a small collection
of such 'souvenirs' I found, mostly nails. I should take a photo and post it here.

Feeling the Heat
Posted this photo a while back. The blue staines on the end of the round were a warning to watch for hidden metal. Figured these nails were in about 30 rings.
