Good weekend in the pile; some cutting, a lot of stacking, and some splitting.

Some nice work there. We're beginning to see more and more of these carports used as wood sheds. We had entertained that same idea before we put up a barn instead. A neighbor put one up and likes it really well. I hope you do too.

The carport is the katzass---can't beat it: $700 delivered and installed and I used ten years worth of patio leftovers (pavers) for the floor. Unlike most "woodsheds", if for some reason I decide to stop burning wood it can be used to cover a vehicle, equipment, lawn furniture, etc. it's metal so it should last a long time and no additional taxes or zoning issues. Color matches my 30x32 toy box also, Whoo hoo! Keeps the splitter dry also.

For anyone interested in buying one; you'll probably start with a google search for local sales. DO NOT use a company named elephant structures! They sucked. Their service and communication were horrible. Their installers were nice guys, but the customer-level personnel were awful to deal with.

Looks like you're ready. Nice.

close to ready, BD. the carport is this years wood, the two rows closest to it are next years wood, and the two wrapped pallets and the stacks near the trees are three yrs. out wood----need to stack up 'nother cord for that season and i'll officially be three seasons out on drying wood. should be splitting wood for '16-17' season over the next several weeks.

the wood im burning this season is just under two years split & stacked---seeing the merits of dry wood this year already: faster starting, longer hotter burns, and a nice clean chimney! once the three-year stuff kicks in, we should be feelin' the heat.

been some f'n work!
