Can you post what make and model UPS you have, how long it will run the stove for, and stove make and model.

I have a P38 on my 1000 VA APC UPS.
I get a lot of flickering power.
I just got the UPS and haven't run it for more than 5 mins yet.
Next time I shut it down..Ill do it by unplugging the power to see how long I get on the batteries...
However of course ..each run is slightly less than the last because I've used one cycle of the battery up.

So how do you determine how many "cycles" the battery is good for??

I dont know the number of...but batteries can be 1000's of cycles...not really a concern.

40 minutes and my information is below in my profile box. AK

cyberpower pure sine 1500 lcd
about 50 min on medium

TrippLite inverter & a 155 amp-hour deep cycle battery.

The TrippLite auto-switches to battery backup when power fails or goes outside of a preset range.

When power is restored it recharges the deep cycle battery.

I've never run it all the way out. Just for testing purposes I ran it overnight. It was still running in the morning. Cycle times matter though... my stove is on for about 30 minutes, then off for an hour and a quarter to an hour and a half.

With cycle times like that I think I could run for aprox 24 hours.

Gfreek: I see you're from Wyoming NY.
I got my driver's license in Warsaw. You could schedule same day in Warsaw, or wait WEEKS up near Roch.
Nice area to live!

The number of cycles you get out of a battery depends a great deal on how low you discharge it.
If you only use 20 or 30 percent of the charge per cycle you may get thousands of cycles.
If you fully discharge the battery each time you use it, you may get 100. Or 50. Or less!
A lot depends on battery type and re-charge rate, too.
