Our 2011 Accentra Insert we had installed last May so we are new to running it and still learning.

It has been running well on room temp mode.

My son forgot to put in pellets so it ran out and now are struggling to get it run and stay on. We have it set at 72 and our house is 60-62. It will start up and then turn off in 1-2 hours. I got it to do that twice today but now it won't light.

I've been playing around from room temp to stove temp.

Now it is flashing 5 times status; and combustion blower light is constantly lite. I tried unplugging it to reset it after letting it be for a couple hours and trying to restart it.No go...on stove temp it fed pellets but didn't start.

Setting right now are:
feed adjustment 3.5
room temp: high
ignitor is on auto
Turned up the temp to 80

I did check the sensor (not sure right word) and it had picked up a bunch of carpet lint on the end.

It's getting chilly and I don't want to turn on the furnace. Other side of the house pellet stove is keeping kitchen warm.

Thanks

5 Blinks (In Igniter Auto. Mode Only): Indicates that
the unit has failed to light within the 36 minute start
cycle. To reset - Turn Mode Selector to "OFF", then turn
to either mode again.

After ran out of pellets, we filled it and it ran for about 2 hours and I did see auger feed and start normally. Not sure why it stopped as it was not up to temp. This last time I tried to lite it, burn pot had lot of pellets but I didn't see the spark that starts fire.

If I'm reading your post correctly, you have 2 different problems. Your pellet stove ran, but only ran for 2 hours then shut down, then it wouldn't light? My sister also has an Accentra Insert, and they just had a problem with the stove not lighting. It would feed pellets, but didn't light. Their problem was a build up of carbon in the burn pot, which blocked the air holes at the bottom. They read the manual etc, and thought it was clean, but it wasn't. You have to really dig down there and chip away at the carbon. That may solve your stove not igniting issue, but I don't know why it's shutting down after 2 hours. Make sure the ignitor switch is set to auto.

newf lover I think you were on target. When scrapping the burn pot found some build up of carbon that I scrapped off. I tried the test setting to load some pellets but auger didn't turn or load pellets but it did earlier in the day. I tried my normal setting again no auger movement where earlier today I would get pellets to fill.

If there's power and it's just not turning, is there a door left open, not a tight seal on the hopper lid? That's odd, a new problem every day! Any critters find it's way into the chimney? It should turn on test. Is it still under warranty?

Newf Lover and Justin, both of you were right on. Hopper wasn't sealed tight with some loose pellets. I tried auto ignite no go I did see one spark. I tried manual and it is up and running.

Thanks for your help!

If you saw a spark, I bet there are still some holes in your burnpot blocked. I had this same conversation with my brother-in-law. Yes, I cleaned the burnpot etc. Paid $130 for a guy to come out and chip away more carbon. I would give it another shot if I were you!

also clean the cavity under the burnpot. loosen the wing screws, remove the access door and clean the passage. 1st rule of Harman stove not lighting should always be "clean the igniter".
